Intro - 2000 XK8 SE Wisconsin
Greetings,
I'm the newest owner of what's probably best described as a driveable project. This XK8 has 99K miles on it and was rescued from a salvage auction by a previous owner a few years back. The only damage was a rear fender which was restored. We bought the car in Flordia a couple of weeks ago and drove it back to Wisconsin - top down, air on all the way. It's a great grand touring car.
There are several ongoing issues with the car, the most pressing is an O2 sensor which needs replacing in the next week or so to keep the registration valid. My plan is to get past the emissions check and gradually clean up the remaining issues to make the car a nice weather top down driver.
About me: I am a long time car geek and autocrosser/time trialer. Owned two MK2s back in the 80s (not including the parts car) and didn't manage to get either on the road before the money ran out. This is my third attempt at Jaguar ownership - at least I have a running car to start with this go-around.

Welcome to the forums jwagner,
With a 1200 mile drive home completed that already puts the XK8 a long way ahead of the MK2's.
