Introducing myself
Hi all. My name is Phil and I am English born and raised.
After 24 years in the Royal Air Force I now live in the Malaysia.
My main reason for joining this forum is a little piece of Jaguar memorabilia that I have been carting around since 1987. Namely a Single Malt Scotch Whisky jar, with a Jaguar emblem.
It's history (from my point of view). I rescued it from a household waste site near RAF Cottesmore, Lincolnshire back in 1987. Since then, it's been on various mantelpieces around the world. Amazingly, it is still in spectacular condition. No chips or cracks. The cork part of the stopper is missing the lower half. I've never put any form of liquid inside it.
There are no makers marks on the bottom, though it does state that it is a product of Scotland (no surprise there), bottled by Beinn Bhuidhe Holdings.
Although I've really got no intentions of selling it, I was hoping that someone here might be able to tell me whether it is a collectable or one of a million produced.
Look forward to hearing from you. Phil

Welcome to the forum Phil,
Did you take a larger piece of Jaguar memorabilia with you to Malaysia? An XK comes to mind.
I can find a little more about this commemorative bottle:
Our Admin and another Moderator here are both Scots and if there is anyone in the World likely to know everything about this particular Whisky, it's Jaguar loving Scotsmen. Let's see what they come up with - probably both got their own bottles tucked away.

Welcome to the forum Phil,
Good to have you with us.
Bottles tucked away indeed, as if that would happen!
I'm afraid I can't shed any light on the bottle, it's a new one on me.
Enjoy the forum.
