An introduction
Hello! Hi, yes, you there! On the other side of the screen! It's me, your friendly hood ornament, or Leaper if you prefer.
Honestly, I never thought much of a more specific name. Leap? Leapy? Hood Cat? Wait, that last one might work for my underground rap impresario-- eh, I'll save that for later.
Anyway, hello to everyone! New member here trying to follow procedure and introduce myself a bit. I'll spare everyone a long intro so some quick details:
Location: western Washington state, USA
Actual name: Call me Joe, if you prefer
Cars in the stable: '18 Dodge Charger Scat Pack (Plum Crazy); '21 BMW X3 M40i
**So why the heck am I here then?**
I'm here because I'm finally in a position to take a serious run at acquiring one of the dream cars of my teenage years - a X308/350 XJR. (sure I may be closing in on my 40s but at least this will be a refined mid-life crisis!)
So at the moment, I'll be keeping an eye on the for sale sections, and also asking questions and gathering information so I am as prepared as possible when looking at vehicles to ensure I'm getting the right spec (and hopefully avoid huge unaddressed maintenance potholes too)
Thanks!
