Introduction & question
Hi all, I am new to the forum and hopeful that I will learn a bit about my 2001 XJ8. I am a fairly competent DIY'r as long as I have an idea of what the problem is. My immediate problem is the need to replace the drivers door handle lock actuator cable. I can't seem to find the Jaguar part number for this part nor a place to purchase one. Is this a discontinued item? Any information would be appreciated.

Here is the procedure, maybe someone else can supply the part number for the cable:

Bike cable parts are mentioned as a possible repair option, dunno.

Welcome to the forum ezombie,
Never mind learning a bit, you can learn a lot about your XJ8 here.
Good advice above from Norri and Vector. Guys on the X308 section will be able to find the part number for you.
Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User ID button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
