Wink Jag fan from Hamburg

Hi from Hamburg,
I recently bought an X-TYPE Estate Diesel which I really enjoyed and started my interest off.
This has meanwhile been sold.

As I have relatives in the UK, I recently purchased a 2002 S-TYPE 3.0 SE V6 - cant wait to see it ......

Its standing on my brothers drive and I only fly over on Aug 14th.

Reasons for looking around here are - experience with brake system, audio adaptors for mp3 / Usb ....

If anyone happens to read who has some LHD headlamps lying around -
thats what I'll need for German registration.

Welcome to the forum Andy,

A whole week to go. It'll seem like a month!

Follow Norri's links to S-Type and Europe sections for help and advice.

RHD to LHD lights is a fairly regular and sometimes frustrating issue to resolve. You'll get sympathy if nothing else.

Graham

Welcome to this friendly forum Andy.
I don't know about the X type headlamp internals but it may be as simple as reversing a beam shaper.
I had the same problem bringing my car from the UK to France.

Welcome Andy, I see Cybersib already did the introduction in German (neue für mich!), so i'll stick to English.

Stop by the Europe regional section when you have time.

Now regardling the headlights, it depends on if you have Xenon, Bi-Xenon or Halogens.

I recently converted the RHD lights on my X350 XJR (Bi-Xenon) to LHD cost me nothing and passed the MFK in Switzerland.

I'm quite sure the same trick will work with an S-Type.

I took some pics just haven't wriiten it up here yet, if you're interested...

Don't buy LHD lights, best quote i got was €1600 for a pair, like i said, changed em myself for nothing...
