Please see below post from a Jag technician who has very kindly offered technical assistance.
As per his request - Please please make sure we respect his annonymity at all times!
Thanks very much for all your help, past, present and future Jag tech, much appreciated by all

I am new to the forums. I am a Jaguar technician and will be willing to help you all in anyway I can. The only thing I ask in return is that you do not use my name in anyway when talking to dealers. I will help you because I love what I do and any way I can help "customers" I will. I do this for a living and love it. So please respect what I ask and you will have help here for years to come. Thanks and happy motoring.

Respect your anonymity we will.

We can use all the good techs we can around here; I'd say about 75% of the first time posters around here need service/troubleshooting help. I say help 'em, then hopefully they will return with additional content to contribute. Or just jabber on with no real direction, as I do from time to time.

Nice to see you getting around the forum and more involved Jag tech.
Its always a great asset to have a Tech on the site to share knowledge and help with some of the more difficult issues that crop up with our cars.

Thanks from all at Jaguarforums

Hi all. I am a master tech at a Florida Jaguar dealer. I work on mostly the newer stuff 97 on, but am familiar with the older stuff also.
My name is Stuart. Grew up in Scotland and moved to the US 14 years ago. Had a 2004 X-Type and currently have 2001 VDP, Topaz on Sable! Love Jags. Especially working on them.
Thanks all for the welcome and I look forward to offering any assistance I can.
see you all around.

Thanks for your assistance offer FJT. I'll be the first to admit that I have some major and some minor items I need to address with my car. And from past experience in specialty forums, this is the first place to go. This is a place to give and take for sure, but I wouldn't bombard the experts all at once because it's not fair to them...make no mistake their expertise is greatly appreciated though!

That said, if anybody needs advice regarding X-rays or coffee, I'm happy to oblige.

Cheers,
Tom

Everything he hasdone on my car was done right the first time. The best service representative is Nick Eichornand bestDealer I have ever been to everis Stevinson Jaguar/Porsche Littleton, Colorado 303-794-3550, If you need a new car Bill Peterman is a great man to work with Jaguar or Porsche.
