Jagcub - 2005 X-type 3.0L AWD
Good afternoon everyone,
Purchased my X-Type last December (2018) and have had a lot of fun with it in the winter but have been prowling the forums for maintenance advice and help and finally made an account to interface with some of you wonderful people. I'm living in Toledo, Ohio presently.
I have a few cars currently, including the following:
2005 Jaguar X-Type 3.0L AWD 5-spd manual, ~148,000 miles
2013 Ford Mustang GT Premium, 5.0L V8, 6-spd manual, ~118,000 miles
1996 Lexus ES300, 3.0L V6, Automatic, ~168,000 miles

Welcome to the forums Jagcub,
Good to have you with us.
I can see you've already found your way to the X-Type forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.
Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You can also use the US Midwest Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-midwest-39/ to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forums.

Quick question for my fellow Jaguar enthusiasts - I know companies such as Subaru are known for having Brand Ambassadors - I've checked briefly into that and it seems as though Jaguar only is interested in celebrities and other high-profile individuals to be in this role over the grassroots-style of promotion that Subaru seems to be using - is this true? I visit a great deal of car shows and though I don't have the nicest, newest, cleanest, or most custom one by any means, I was curious if they engaged in that kind of ambassadorship at more of the ground level. I've met a few Subaru ambassadors in my area, and they're all incredibly friendly and since there aren't too many Jaguars showing up to shows, was curious if this would be an opportunity for them. Likely not in Toledo or myself specifically, of course, but just curious if anyone knew more!

Jaguar concentrate on "celebrity" endorsement to the exclusion of real-world level promotion. Other prestige UK vehicle manufacturers such as Aston Martin and Bentley do exactly the same. This appears to be aimed at growing brand awareness and reputation rather than attracting potential customers.
