Greetings - my addiction began when I was around 12 years old and saw my first e-type. 40 years later ( 2 years ago) I finally got my fix in an amazing 96 XJS 2+2 Convertible! It's seems I can't get enough though and now I'm about to acquire a series one xj6 (1972). It's in extremely great original condition overall, but has a holey #3 piston in the XK engine. I've looked into repairing the engine and (forgive me) also lumping with a 5.7 v8 drivetrain I already have in a junked 92 chev truck. Still sitting on the fence and looking for comments. My initial thoughts were to keep it all original, but after researching the xk engine I starting looking at lumping.

 

Welcome, I have read and almost all of those era Jags converted into Chevy 5.7 V8 engine .

 

Welcome to the forum, can't comment on the Chevy, we don't have them over here.

But, good car + dead engine/scrap car + good engine, I would be thinking of combinig the two.
