Jaguar All Wheel Drive TV Ad

Jaguar All Wheel Drive TV Ad
Message I sent to Jaguar:
As a newJaguar owner (2012) I was pleased to see a new Jaguar ad on TV in the US forthe new all wheel drive Jaguar but very disappointed in its content. The idea was good, the Jaguar getting out of the snow, but it was a visually forgettable ad. Everything was white and washed out including the Jaguar. Why would your advertising team pick a light gray Jaguar in the snow. They needed something more dramatic, perhaps the claret color, to strike the viewer. Also, I didn't think they showed enough of the car. Finally there was a cloud that formed into "the leaper" at the end. Good idea but poorly executed. It took me three viewings of the ad before I noticed that feature. Again, too washed out...not really noticeable, and the cloud didn't totally form before there was a splice in the film and the Jaguar emblem appeared. It looked cheaply done. Also, the driver was not someone that potential Jaguar owners could identify with. Should have had a young man in a black Tux against the snow. That would again have been more dramatic, memorable, and more closely fit the car'simage.
Please forward this email to your marketing department.
You might consider a new ad agency.
I want Jaguar to succeed but ads like this won't do the trick.

Welcome to the forum diamondjag,
Like many members here, I won't see this advertisement and can't therefore comment but I'm sure US members will view it and have opinions.
For discussions relevant to your present Jaguar, follow this link XF and XFR ( X250 ) - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the XF & XFR section for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top there is a good place to start for info on regular issues.
Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You may also like to visit the US Central Region section by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/central-us-mt-wy-co-nd-sd-ne-ks-36/ to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forum.

Thanks for posting this ad. This is not the one I saw although I would have some of the same complaints about this ad. Everything is white/gray...nondescript, uninteresting, essentially washed out, nothing grabs you. The ad I saw had the Jaguar totally covered with snow. All of a sudden the car is uncoverd from the snow (don't know how...leaves you wondering) a guy in a semi parka (as I remember) gets in and dirves away. Much like the ad you posted...drab. I saw the TV ad locally in Colorado where the dealer told me they are hoping for a pick-up in sales due to the all wheel drive. I'm rooting for Jaguar....just, as an owner, unhappy with their ads....easliy forgettabale.

Diamondjag. welcome to the forum (I think).
This section is for introductions and yet you have almost mentioned nothing about yourself, except for the fact that you don't like the Jaguar TV adverts.
I can't comment on them (not seen them), but why not introduce yourself properly, and then...
If you want to open a conversation about Jaguar advertising and thoughts on it, we have various forum sections, not least a Jaguar Press release section that is followed by Jaguar Corporate personnel.
I am sure that your comments would be read with interest. (can't say that you will receive a reply though).
Enjoy the forum.
