Just got a 2004 Type X 3.0 for a few bucks. I can't tell you what I paid but I should be able to make at least a grand by fixing and selling. First off was the gearbox fault. Simple fix was to remove and reconnect the wire harness connector to the ABS pump with the battery still connected. That somehow reset the ABS pump and all dash warnings were cleared. Now I'm getting a false temperature reading. OBD reader giving me 220° F and the system is holding pressure and seems to be pumping through when viewing the filler reservoir. Normal low speed driving stays at normal temperature. As soon as there's a load it goes right to red. I have replaced the sensor and can't seem to find the location of the block sensor. I've searched the forum and called the local dealership with no joy. Please help.

Welcome to the forum Pete,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
I can see you've already found your way to the X-Type forum with this issue so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You can also visit the US Western Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/western-us-ak-ca-nv-ut-hi-wa-id-38/ to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forums.
