Jaguar Mk 4 axles

Jaguar Mk 4 axles
Hello everyone, I'm Dave from West Australia. I'm constructing a car special which has Mk 4 front and rear axles. I note they have mechanically actuated brakes and basic steering, which I need to adapt to my special. It appears that the steering plane arms are not angled to produce the Ackerman Steering principle of tow out on turns, instead are set parrallel to the car centreline. I wondered if any one has any information or comments on the reason for this. Cheers Dave.

Welcome to the forums Dave,
As Grant suggests, knowledge will to be scarce but members with Mk V era vehicles are the most likely to know. Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/mark-v-x-420g-58/ to the Mark V - X 420G 1948 - 1970 forum for help, advice and information.
Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.
Enjoy the forums and good luck with your project.
