Jaguar X Type 3.0 AWD 2003 South Africa - Throttle body connector
Good morning. I am hoping someone will be able to advise me on an issue with my car.
The connector that plugs into the throttle body has perished and needs to be replaced. At the moment and as a temporary fix, I am holding it in place with a cable tie, but wish to fix the problem properly.
Apart from sourcing an engine wiring loom / harness, is there anything else that I can do? The harness seems to be a rather costly avenue. For instance, is this connector specific to the throttle body or is there an alternative that I can use?
It won't be unique to the X-Type or even to Jaguar. A post in General Tech Help could attract the attention of members across the model forums who may know a source.
I can see you've already found your way to the X-Type forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

From South Africa and enjoying my first Jag, which is a 2003 X-Type 30 AWD Auto. I've had her for almost two years and she is immaculate. Unfortunately not without her problems, but I am working on it! 169,000 km.

Many thanks for the help! I would like to contact the supplier and ask if they will ship to South Africa. I cannot seem to make a phone call to that number. Do you perhaps know if there is an email address for them?
I managed to google the part number and got to the supplier's website where I sent them a message. Let's hope they ship to South Africa. Thanks for the help!
