Default Jaguar XF 2.2 2012. EGR ,DPF faults

DPF Full

It's Jaguar XF 2012 2.2 . I did diagnose with one of the big break down company (RAC) they said EGR and DPF . I went local garage and the same things happen I bought the EGR VALVE and Chang it . I had the same problem again and I called the jaguar dealer ant told them the problems. I been told to drop it with Jaguar almost a week with them . I had the phone call from the jaguar dealer and they said the problem it's not EGR . It's DPF they will clean it . I was so happy . I had another call they try to clean but they had a problem to clean it . They need more time to find out why does not clean .

Welcome.

Bugga on the DPF. They can be tricky down here, and I will say no more.

The XF Tech section may have answers.

A month is unacceptable.

DPF is a regular issue on Jaguars used primarily for short journeys so it can't be a mystery to them. The usual approach is to attempt regeneration but if that fails, it's usually a replacement DPF. Apart from being without the vehicle, a growing concern has to be the final bill.

I would be asking the Service Manager for a detailed breakdown of time spent to date and actions taken in their attempt to resolve the issue.

Graham thanks
First they said £375 to regenerate the DPF . I don't think they will charge me more for their time westing garage.

John,

It's still an 'ouch' but you could be getting off lightly. We've had reports of over £700 for this.

Default Officially I just made complain

Officially I just made complain against jaguar main dealer. Spire automotive
He is the owner of a vehicle which he brought into Jaguar Xxxxx for some remedial work and is unhappy that after 6 weeks the car remains in the workshop still not fixed.

The original problem was assessed & Mr Xxxx sanctioned to work to go ahead, only to be told that further problems have been found. This has been an ongoing situation now for 6 weeks & he is concerned about the spiralling cost of works.

He has also stated that everyone in the workshop has been very pleasant but still unable to resolve the issues.

In addition, he is having to hire a vehicle which is costing him £300 per week as he was refused a courtesy car.

Please could you look into the complaint & initiate contact with Mr Xxxx. for a full synopsis of the complaint.

Best regards
