Greetings All,
Retired US Army Colonel living in Central PA. I purchased a 2013 (2014?) Jaguar XFR-S just prior to my retirement from the US Army while stationed in Brussels, Belgium. I purchased the US specifications XFR-S from Auto Village, a British owned Volvo, Land Rover, Jaguar dealership located very near RAF Lakenheath in the UK and which specializes in selling US Spec cars to US Military Personnel and Diplomats living and working in Europe.
Amazingly I purchased the first of the 100 XFR-S' manufactured for the US market in May 2013; polaris white in color and I included the optional carbon fiber engine cover and rear wing. Fortunately, I was able to have the car delivered in July 2013, just 3 months before I retired and redeployed back to the US. Fortunate because living in Brussels, Belgium I was only 45 kilometers from the German border and those awesome, open, and in many places, flat AUTOBAHNS where I could legally open her up however, I never felt very comfortable above 150 MPH and never got her up to the maximum speed of 186 MPH. I even put her on the the world famous German Nurburgring one weekend where I quickly learned that the stock Pirelli tires only have a life expectancy of 18,000 miles, and that's while driving under "normal" conditions so I was on my second set of tires just four months after purchasing the Animal.
I'm not a "Car Dude" meaning I don't know the first thing about working on a car mechanically but rather a car buff if you will. The only changes I have made to "The Animal" is to replace the black center caps on the wheels with red ones and, thanks to this forum, I learned how to replace the black center grille growler with a red one. I'm just joining this forum after viewing it for a few months and look forward to learning from and reading my fellow JAG owner's posts. I've attached four photos of "The Animal" taken shortly after I purchased her and while still living in Brussels and four taken today after a detail here in PA.

Welcome,
What a beautiful car, simply stunning. This is a great forum where you'll learn a lot, make friends, and find that participation is addicting. I have a friend from the Pantera forum who lives in Denmark who joined today as well on my recommendation. He bought an XKR about 2 weeks ago within hours of me suggesting he take a look. Have fun!
