John NJ 2003 X-Type 2.5
Hello all,
Long time Jaguar fan but first time owner (I've had the car a week and have already heard the "so you bought a Ford" comments).
I've always been a fan of older XJs but with my commute and need to park in unsavory areas of Philadelphia, I decided to go for something a bit newer, hopefully slightly more reliable, and ultimately less expensive.
The car is a 2003 X-Type 2.5 AWD (all 2.5s were I think) and its an Automatic.
Currently sorting out a couple of bugs that I'll be posting in the forum. Looking forward to learning as much as I can about the car.
Prior to this I was a big Mercedes/Chrysler/BMW fan. Have owned various MB models from the 1960s - 1990s, BMW E28s, Chrylser 300M, Sebring, Lebaron, Crossfire.
If anyone feels the need to talk about substance abuse disorders, mental health issues, or gambling problems - I'm certified to cover all three and am happy to try to offer some advice or point you in the right direction free of charge. Currently, I'm the program director for a moderate sized non-profit treatment facility in Philadelphia.
What else, I'm 30, big hockey fan, and my music taste is generally considered by hipsters to be abysmal - I think that's a good thing.
