Hi everyone!

While usually turning my head for every E-Type on the road since childhood, that's one number to big (or to late) for my current needs. It's about a kind of accident, that I own a XJ8 since some days: I was telling a friend of mine, how difficult it is to stow me, my wife, my 21 year old son, an Airedale terrier and another (small) dog into my Riley Elf for events. He: 'I have a wonderful solution for you ...'
Actually, I know the Jaguar XJs since long time: I often had one as a replacement vehicle, while my Land Rover was in for service. Since that time I know, that driving a limousine can be fun. And here we are: Joined the forum about a month ago, before I had the car. I now own a wonderful youngtimer and start thinking about it's future.
The car runs fine and smooth, after 3 - 4 years of missing maintenance sure needs urgently some fresh fluids. Then the rear sunshade resists to come out, already tried to help it move without succes. Also PDC is dead, which need some analysis. Nothing really big, but of course things you want to be in working condition on a car like this. Already found lots of valuable information. Struggling a bit about what diagnosis software/cable could serve my needs to near the root causes, but I think it's all in here.

So I'm looking forward on a hopefully enjoyable time with this cat and am happy to meet you all!

Regards,
Beat
