Default Just dropping in

Hey folks I'm Daniel from Alabama. Wanted to drop by and do my intro and see if I can get some pretty quick information about my lovely wife's car. She is stranded with a dead battery from playing the radio and computer too long.

Is my '97 XJ6 positive ground? She said when the tow truck guy put the jumper cables on it sparkled real bad. I'm wondering if he hooked them up wrong or was something else going on?

Many Thanks and I'l be back with more on my car but now I'm in a bind.

Thanks for the welcome !! I've been meaning to join for a couple weeks and got busy so I didn't take time to pull the trigger but I love the site and you guys (and gals) know what is going on for sure.
My wife wanted one of these XJs for ever and I never was able to get her one til now. Had it almost a year and we love it.
I'm sure everybody is scratching their head wondering where I got my user name and why I would use it on a Jag site. There is a story behind it and I will tell it later but for now I wanted to say thanks.

Daniel

Hello, Daniel,
I don't know of Any car built in the last 75 years that's positive ground! But there's certainly something seriously wrong if jumper cables spark like that!

Graham has already directed you to the correct section where you can find help.
Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Default Still broke and car won't start

Hey guys, this is Daniel and I'm back with spit in one eye and well y'all know about the other. I never ever gave it one thought about this forum or my using a computer again for that matter. It's been whirlwind life for me these past 9 and half months. You see I am in the latest stages of COPD. Now I have an extensively damaged heart but hey by the Grace of God I am alive and here still needing help from you guys. Thanks so much for listening and I'll make a post about my ride in the correct forum and looking forward to all your great feedback and answers to my prayers so I CAN GET THIS CAR FIXED. '97 XJ6 with 125,000 miles.
