Just drove my Jaguar XE for the first time.
I drove my XE today for the first time, it's a 12/2018 Jaguar XE R-Sport 2.0D, which cost me about £20,250. It was quite weird getting used to as I've come from a 98bhp 1L manual petrol Audi A1 (near enough the complete opposite), the engine noise was the first thing that was strange to me it didn't sound as smooth as the petrol alternative (for obvious reasons). Also, it took slightly longer to actually kick down when driving from a stopped position, but these factors aren't really a deal-breaker for me.
Secondly, was the brakes... They were unbelievably sensitive compared to my A1, I actually triggered my ABS completely by accident and skidded to a halt, due to me pressing the brake pedal too hard. I'm guessing this is probably more due to it being automatic but, thankfully, I have got used to it now.
The rest of the car I loved, I was captivated by the tech in the XE (although I still don't understand the need for a flight tracker) and really loved the luxury of having a completely digital dashboard. Furthermore, the Meridian sound system also made it a wonderful drive. Can't wait to drive many more miles in this motor, I just want to go on random long road trips now with my mates just for the drive.
I do have some modifications in mind for the car. Firstly, I would love to make it sound a bit better, maybe with a new exhaust system but I didn't know if they are that popular in diesel cars. Secondly, as I have the black pack I want to put on black alloys (and also potentially black badges).
