Greetings from Florida! The day after I bought my used convertible, Hermine formed and it has rained every day (not all day- I have still managed to put the top down a few times and take my grand kids and my pit mix, Ethyl, for joy rides! ) Ethyl is also my security system.
For those not familiar with American football, Jacksonville is the home of the Jaguars- a team that was sued by Jaguar and had to change their logo because it too closely resembled the hood ornament.
My car is currently turquoise, which is a color found in nature, but not, as far as I am aware, in the Jaguar world. The seats have also been customized with ostrich skin leather. In short, someone pimped this vehicle.
I have been lurking the forums while I deliberated my purchase, and the optimism and experiences shared have been a great help to me already. I will post a pic later. I am awake at 4am wondering about brake shoes.

I am afraid of what is underneath. I think my first baby step will be to get rid of the metal/ plastic trim on the door.

Welcome to Jaguar Forums MrsToadsWildRide.

It's foam rubber secured with double sided tape. Warm it with a hair drier and gradually peel off. Nylon fishing line is good for helping this! The doors are painted underneath so no rectification needed other than cleaning off old adhesive.
