Hi my name is Wayne Morgan. I am 70 years old & still very active. I have interests in boating, fishing , old classic cars, & good friends. My vehicles are as follows, MGB 1972 roadster, 1964 mk111 Austin Healey3000, Toyota Landcruiser 6cyl turbo dsl, 2003 Jaguar XKR. Recently sold 2006 Mercedes E350,

I live in a northern beach suburb of Cairns QLD Australia & have been happily married to the same woman since 1973. Luckly she has the same interests as myself & her name is Lynette.

Hello, Wayne,
I always thought a TR8 might be fun, but alas, I never found one when I lived in town where I could drive it. Now that I live out in the Stix there's no point.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Thank you ElinorB.
The TR6 was a lot of fun but a very specialised car. It won the Targa Tasmania and was incredibly high performance fun for a while. An itch that had to be scratched.

Welcome both of you.

My wife also LUVS her Jags, and is pasionately looking for another V12.

We also enjoy this mature age bracket.

Welcome to the forum Wayne (and also 'hello' to Lynette),

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I'm only three years behind you but age is just a number as long as we stay fit and active. I've gone though several of the same vehicles as you but our UK climate is harsh on 60's and 70's vehicles so they have long gone.

I can see you've already found your way to the XK8/XKR forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the Australia - Queensland Region forum by following this link Australia - Queensland - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.
