2000 XK8 convertible. Champagne w/ tan leather. 115k miles, green monster yes new hi pressure lines, (thank you gus) timing chains skipped only 2 teeth so i still have an engine ("what was that chattering noise?").

Water in headlites yes. Intermittant ASC and brake lites coming on til warmed yes. Cam sensor replaced due to code yes, Crank sensor code restricted intermittant due to moisture will change out yes.

Tramlining on rough roads, yes. Coolant smell in AC yes. Unexplained loss of coolant, yes. Very quick, very fast, very dangerous yeah. turned off ride control to see if it worked almost flipped car yes it works.

When i get over trial period will send a picture but i bet it looks like every other 2000 my color LOL. No front lic tag (sorry texdot)

Had it 3 years put 2000 miles on it. Its a beast that likes to be driven frequently and punishes you if you dont. It turns heads. Transmission needs to be flushed except "its for life", whose life? so not yet. Electronics runs down battery so i have a new one now.
And a trickle charger. KM filter yes. Snapped off the cheap plastic "Jaguar V8" cover so it just says Jaguar now. If a 100k xk8 is still in perfect order it was built on a good day by the best crew back in the UK. all the others are in the junk yard by now.

 

Oh yes I had a 1967 series 1.5 XKE convertible in another lifetime. xk8 way much better

I see you've found your way to the XK8 section with a few issues already. Nothing unusual in your 'to do' list but all crying out to be fixed.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User ID button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
