Thanks for the warm welcome here!
So a few days with my new aquisition are over. I really do enjoy that big cat. Since I drive it every day, I used the time to experiment a bit. I keep a bottle of hand sanitizer in gel form in the center console. This stuff on a microfibre towel works great for removing the sticky residue on the buttons. The gel stays longer on the surface which helps to dissolve the residue. So there is less rubbing and scrubbing needed. But there are still a lot of buttons to clean! Lets see how the gel sanitizer compares to the recommended Neutrogena wipes.
The seat ventilation is not as powerful as in other more modern cars, but still very welcome in this summer heat. For testing purposes I removed the filter in the seat bottom and checked that the blower spins. The cooling did not improve much by removing the filter.
I am considering replacing the touch screen, which is hesitant and not always accepting input. But first I will try a calibration. Haven't tested that yet.
