My (new to me) 1985 V12 VDP
Hi Everyone!
Just signed up. What a great site! I can see myself spending a good amount of time here. Just thought I would share some pics of the Jag I just came into. My uncle past away in December. He purchased this in 1992 with approximatly 69 ,000 km (Approx 42,000 Miles) and it currentley has 70,000 KM ( Approx 43,000 Miles). He only drove it the 1000 KM, as he became ill, and it just sat in his garage for 20 years only to be undercoated and recieve service ( Odd I know!). As soon as I got it, I towed it to the shop and changed anything that needed to be changed due to age and sitting, and changed all the fluids ( some twice to flush it), which amazingly were very clean looking. I then turned the key, and it fired right up with no issues! I still need fix a few things and to change the tires though before I drive it very far, as they have a date code of 1986! It will only be driven occasionally on some Sundays to the local show and kept indoors.
Oddly enough, I had been looking at aquiring a Jag for awhile ( 2003 XKR coupe), however there is just something special about the XJ's! Here are some pics. Please forgive me iof these are too large. Although im 29, im computer illiterate and am working on figuring this forum out
