Hi my name is Allen I have never posted a thread before so here goes....
I own three classics:-
A Series 2 Land Rover 1963 an MGBGT 1972 and a XJ6 Series 2 manufactured in 1973 it's a SWB with 4.2 litres under the bonnet.
Only 7463 SWB were produced in the series 2 model and according to the chassis number it's the 1,600th made, (I wonder how many have survived?)
I am the third owner and have has it since 31st May 1990
Mileage when bought was 78887 and now 84520 so not much use.
She was sorned for about 12 years, taken out, washed down, and given a bit of a polish and check over and presented for an MOT
Result, a pass with only a couple of advisories (track rod end boots split or missing) and then she was popped back into the garage.
That was 2012.
Now it's July 3rd 2015 and with a little more time on my hands she has a fresh MOT and this time she is going to get more use so the paperwork/documentations has been posted to DVLA for hopefully a new V5 with a Historic Vehicle tax classification.
Got to go, dinner is on the table and mustn't upset she who bust be obeyed.
I'll try and work out how to post pictures.
Bye
