Hello:
We just bought a 2005, XJ L with 43,000 miles. Came with only one switchblade key with remote. How can we get a second key? Also, it may need new rear shocks. How does one tell for sure? If needed, what is the best way to get new shocks installed.
We live in the Rockly Mountains at 8,400 feet ASL about 65 miles NW of Denver. Our other "car" is a Turbo Arrow III.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Dear Web Meister:
Thanks for the upgrade. We neither swear or cuss or say bad thing about anything. Well, maybe the IRS. Had a mechanic check the rear shocks. They are fine. In fact, all those interesting shapes up under there looked like new.
Our only remaining issue is to get a second switchblade/remote key or, failing that, just the simple black key. We enjoy your web pages.
Tailwinds,

Hello and welcome to jaguarforums.com.
One other thing you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for.
Please take a moment and read the information provided to you explaining the rules. Be patient and enjoy the site.
Also, should you have questions related to your vehicle please post it in the section for your model year (MY) car. This way you will reach all the members that are familiar with your MY car.
