Hey, how is everyone. I just purchased an 03 STR and am completely in love with this vehicle. It is actually my first non domestic vehicle I have ever owned. I had a souped up Dakota and frequented that forum quite often and will do the same here. I also put Borla mufflers on this thing and it sounds amazing. I am not sure if I want to take out the resonator or not. Maybe someone can tell me how much louder that may make it. I like the note it has now.

That's some shine on the STR and they do look good with no front plate.

Thanks GGG and Norri. I already found that section lol. Ok, here is the first dumb question. I am a new Jag owner so what is the front plate? Because this is how I bought it. Maybe a link to one with the front plate for comparision?

 

Front registration plate - mandatory in some US states whereas others only require a rear registration plate. This annoys many owners who believe all Jaguars look better without a front plate.

In the UK, we have no choice. Front plates are mandatory.

Nice fresh looking S Type

I live in New York State and you are required to have both front and rear plates but I'll be moving to Pittsburgh, PA soon and they don't require it for the front. Of course, the NY silver and blue color plate matches the S, i don't know about the yellowish PA plate on it, lol...

 

Ahhhh, yeah license plate lol. Ok, I agree totally, without just looks better. Someone at my work has an S-type with a sports team chrome plate on the front and I think it would look better without it as well. I personally am kind of a minimilast so I like a cleaner look.
