Default New '12 XKR owner

Hello everyone -

Doing my forum duty and saying hello to everyone. I picked up a new 2012 XKR in March and in the 1100 miles I've driven it, it's a pretty awesome ride

Prior to this I had a 2006 S65 and I'm also a Toyota Supra owner.

The benz was a monster in a straight line, but so far the XKR is on par with performance (a little light in trap speed...but I'm fixing that!) - but the acceleration is there and obviously cannot compare the two when you actually have to turn the wheel

Regardless, hope to get to know you guys...anyone in S NJ stop by and say hi!

Best,
Jay

Welcome to the forum Jay,

Good to have you with us.
Sounds like you are happy with the new Jag.

If you haven't already done so you should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you

Hi Philly,

Welcome to the forum. How do you like your new ride? Looks like you have some pretty impressive stats on the XKR forum.
I haven't gotten the chance to track mine - won't attempt that until I return from the R Academy at Vegas this October.

There's always the chance that I might take my XKR down to my sister's house (Pemberton). Perhaps we can meet up sometime.

Mike

Welcome to the forum.

Good to see you.

Wouldn't mind seeing some pics, including the Supra, it sounds like it might be lightly modded.

Hey...thanks guys. So fare I'm really liking the new ride! Big change from the S65, but it's awesome. And I swear most people break their neck looking / trying to figure out what it is, kinda wild.

The overall performance is fantastic, outweighs a few missing "luxury" items found in the S65.

As for the Supra, ha, yeah...it's a handful...here are a few pics

Ha, yea...it would run 5.4x-5.8x without trying too hard...even with my limited skills! And would coast to 8.9x-9.1x. Not sure what it weights...but it's light. There's no HVAC system, etc...spring (well, now hopefully) project is to make it "streetable" - i.e. bigger radiator, trans cooler, alternator and a big tire - drag radials are no fun on that car.

But anyway...the Jag...

I just love the headlight design of the 12 model.
