Hello and welcome to jaguarforums.com. I know that you are anxious to get started and we are anxious to meet you and talk about your car. We have a baseline / criteria that must be met before full access can be granted. Please enjoy the forum and be patient once the baseline has been satisfied full access will be granted. Please continue to post and accept my welcome to the forum.
Oh one other thing you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for.
Please take a moment and read the information provided to you explaining the rules. Be patient and enjoy the site.

Thanks for the welcome
Gidday All,
Have attached a photo of the old Blue. This is one of the actual previous owners photos.
Just an update on the maintenance, boot is completely stripped. To my surprise very little rust. In the terms of a XJS context "No Rust". All the steelwork is being prepared for primer and paint this weekend.
As for details don't know where the car was used between 1979 and 1991??? It was imported into NZ January 1991. Being a beautiful mustard colour it was completely stripped and painted the standard Jag Blue. (See Photo). Gut feel is that they had the engine out to paint the bay and Im betting it hasn't run since.
Will keep you up to date as I progress.
Thanks Again or the welcome.
