Default New '88 XJ6 Owner

Hello everyone! I'm a Canadian (living in a suburb of Toronto). I am a high school substitute teacher and tutor for students with disabilities. I'm 32 and married. I just bought a 1988 Jaguar XJ6, with 107,000 km (66,400 miles) for $1500 from a used car dealership specializing in exotics. They were selling it certified and e-tested for so cheap because they were expanding their business and wanted to get rid of all their older cars off the lot to make room for a new building.

I've had it for over a month now, with no major mechanical issues at all. The only thing wonky is the rear light set is having trouble when signalling/braking, but so far it just appears to be some basic gremlins in the system.

I love the car. It's white with red leather interior, and just screams class. I think I'm a Jag lifer now.

Ok having a bit of trouble finding the edit post button, and the image album link didn't quite seem to work in the first post, so I'll link to it directly here:

Just a few pics from the dealer, I haven't gotten outside with a camera to showcase it yet...been to cold!

Welcome to the forums Anderton. Nice "snow" white looking vehicle.

You need a total of 10 posts to reap all the benefits of the forum, so get posting!! The guys in the XJ section may be able to help you with the rear lighting problems.

Thanks for the welcome...when you say "the XJ forum," which exact forum are you referring to? I've had trouble finding just where to post questions, since the only forum I can see that comes close is the "XJ6 and XJ12" but it only says up to the year 1987...? Help!
