New Boy
Hi guys, Ive owned my first Jaguar x type estate 2010 for about a month now. It is black with cream leather interior, very posh. Its a bit of a learning curve though.
I have discovered that water can run down the cables into the computer and throw up 'Gearbox fault' hopefully I have diverted the water away by sealing the panel across the bottom of the windshield and making a channel to divert any water away from the computer.
I have done an engine service and discovered how to clear the 'service now' notice with the trip and reset buttons.
I have cleaned out the EGR but I haven't discovered if it is possible to clear the engine warning light and the EGR fault without taking it to the local garage. Is it possible to do it using the car fault system please ?
Otherwise the car is a joy to drive, I can't remember enjoying a car so much since I had my Dodge Ram.

I see everyone is listing their toys
OK then
2010 Jaguar X type estate
1991 944 Porsche Cabriolet (50k not driven for about 6 yrs, need new cam belt)
1991 348 Ferrari (50k not driven for about 6 yrs, need new cam belt)
1973 Harley shovel chop
1998 Harley Heritage
1990 Aprilia RSV
1960 Francis Barnet
I own a hotel for Bikers in France but I hardly ever get chance to play with my toys so most just sit around catching dust, I need a few extra days every week.
