Just got my wife a ‘04 X Type. Kids almost grown and she was tired of driving an SUV. She is in love with the Jag and so am I. Being 6’4” I’m looking for a ‘04-‘05 XJR to replace an E Mercedes I just sold. Last Jags in the family were my dad’s 1964 XKE and mom’s ’59 S Type. Looking forward to being a Jag family again. The family truck is a ’00 Land Rover Discovery II that’s been very faithful.
Any XJR owners in the Cincinnati area? Wouldn’t mind getting together or chatting about the car before I take the plunge.
Any British or other car meets in the area?
Rich

I just got an '03 X-Type and can't tell you how much I love it. There's a British Car Day next weekend pretty close to you. Here's the info. Sorry for the bold, I just copied and pasted from my car club's (MGA) website.

Join us on Saturday, August 1st to celebrate the 25th anniversary of British Car Day in Dayton, Ohio; the largest all British show in the Midwest. Over 350 cars will converge on Eastwood MetroPark. In addition, the Rangers Choice, Royal Air Force Award, Longest Drive and Best of Show presented by the British Museum of Transportation will also be awarded. While the cars are displayed on the shaded, grass showfield, there will be vendors with new and used parts and memorabilia, a full service concession stand featuring grilled food and beverages and more than 100 door prizes for entrants.
