My name is Dwayne and I am from Gouda, The Netherlands. Last week I bought quite a special XJS: it's a 1984 full convertible; build by Arden.
It's getting MOT and I'm waiting for my storage unit so I will be able to pick it up next month or March. The first thing I want to do is take off that ugly snowplow
(what some call a front spoiler) as well as all the Arden-emblems and a weird chrome strip on the bonnet. Bring it back to original as much as possible.
I am quite new to working on cars but I'm eager to learn and know I'll manage. I will make great use of all the knowledge on these forums and all the sticky treads, I'm
looking forward to start working on it!
Some pictures (on green dealer plates), let me know what you think!
Welcome to the forum, Dwayne! Congratulations on your purchase. This sure is a great place with nice people with good ideas for the ride. Feel free to ask questions, knowledge is everywhere around these parts!
Looks good. White was a rare colour choice for original buyers in Europe so very few around now.
I can see you've already found your way to the XJS forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.
