Hey,
I live in Wake Forest, NC. I just bought a 1997 Jaguar XK8 convertible. 46K original miles, one owner, garage kept. Always wanted one, never thought I would own one. I have been reading this forum for weeks and I got to be honest, you guys have saved me thousands of dollars in the great info and people in this forum.
Days after buying mine, it was in the shop, owning for 6 weeks and it was in the shop for 5 weeks. One throttle body later it runs great! Now I need many small parts and need to know where the best place to buy used parts is.
Thanks guys and I look forward to sharing my experiences in hopes of helping someone else.

Welcome to the forum Tigger37,
Congratulations on the XK8 - sorry to hear the first few weeks were less than a perfect introduction to Jaguar ownership.
Sounds like you probably already know the way to the tech section but if not, follow this link XK8 / XKR - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the XK8/XKR section for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top there is a good place to start for info on regular issues.
You may also like to visit the US Lower Atlantic Region section by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/lower-atlantic-nc-sc-fl-ga-66/ to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forum.
Graham

I use RockAuto for general spares purchases (pads, rotors and the likes).
RockAuto Parts Catalog
I used Autopartswarehouse as well when RockAuto does not have it:
Auto Parts Warehouse | Car Parts & Accessories, Truck Parts, Discount Auto Body Parts Online
AutoPartwarehouse runs lots of online coupons or discount codes.
For genuine Jaguar parts, I've gotten quotes from Gaudin and Merriam:
Direct JPLV Porsche Parts.com
Jaguar Parts Center - Call (800) 510-1401 for Genuine Jaguar Parts and Accessories
Somehow, both are often cheaper than my local Jag dealer.

welcome to the forum and great find. Aside from the one's Bob listed - I have used Engel Imports/Terry's Jag Parts in Kalamazoo Mi and jagbits.com - both cheaper than the dealer (dealer has honored Terry's prices when I have passed them the quotes).
Follow the links Graham provided - especially to the XK8 section and download the JTIS 21 and anything else you can get from there.
Enjoy the forum and the jag

Thanks guys for all the "welcomes" and good advice. Been a crazy February for us, My Mom passed, we had to put our wolf dog down and we moved so I haven't had much time to enjoy the new toy! Appreciate the upgrade in the forum as well, so much good info with great people here I look forward to diving in.
