new from florida
Hey guys, I have need on this website countless numbers of tired reading through the conversations about jaguars. I am very passionate about jaguars, my collection consists of a 1990 xjs collection classic convertible and a 2000 xkr coupe.
I am not very wealthy but I do love these cars. I first grew fond of jaguars when I drove a 2006 convertible xkr. It took just one drive and I knew this is what an automobile should be, discrete and elegant.
So being that I lack weight in my wallet these two are nice projects.
The xkr is my first jaguar, and actually my first car ever. Until now I have only owned pickup trucks for work. The xkr is from an insurance company, the left frame rail is slightly bent but only about 7 inches from the bumper. Please keep in mind I work in a body shop and straighten frames with my brother everyday, so I am not recklessly buying a damaged car.
The xjs was given to me by my father, he is a car dealer. He got the xjs for peanuts and intended to sell it as a project car.
He had it for about 2 years and no one ever wanted it so he just gave it to me and he even gave me the new convertible top. I cannot wait to have these two cars running and driving everyday.

Welcome to this friendly Forum, well done on having two jags (the XKR is the best, of course)!!. You're lucky working in a body shop - bodywork is the hardest thing for a DIYer to get right.
There are two sections for you,
XK8 / XKR - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
and
XJS - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
Good luck.
