New to the forum and 1st Jag.
Hi to the forum.
This is my first Jaguar (wanted an XKE since 1962) but had some MGA's, a TR-3 and a TR-4 instead since then.
Found a nice 2001 XKR convertible a couple of weeks ago. The XKR is all original, no damage, perfect paint and replaced 2 broken plastic parts. Nice leather. I was able to repair the butt rub hole in the side of the back of the driver's seat myself for $5.00. I glued an embroidered Jaguar logo patch over the hole. As soon as I figure it out, I will try to post the pictures.
1st owner got a brand new Jag installed engine under warranty ($10K worth) at about 40,000 miles in 3 years of ownership. Probably the tensioner problem, so that problem is out of the way.
2nd owner put about 20,000 more miles on it in about 3 more years.
3rd owner put it in a garage and put 15,000 miles in about 8 years. He put on a new top and new supercharger 3 years ago.
First long drive out last Friday, I hit a huge pothole on the Galveston seawall and got a dead fuel pump. I did a lot of googling on the side of the road -- thanks for smart phones. Got an 87 mile tow back to Humble and did a lot more reading and measuring. Ordered a new fuel pump with 2 filters.
Thanks for the forum, it has answered all of my questions and given me about a foot high stack of paperwork -- without downloading the factory service manuals yet.

Welcome to the forum HumbleTX,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
I can see you've already found your way to the XK8/XKR forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You can also visit the US Southwest Region forum by following this link US Southwest - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forums.
Graham
