Hi all ,
Im new to the forum having recently purchased a S-type 3.0 liter. Ive been a Landrover man for many years owing everything from a 1956 Series 1 up to a L322 Range Rover & new Defender 90. We now live on a yacht so dont need a 4wd & decided something sporty & luxurious would suit our needs. We regulally travel from the Gold Coast to Byron Bay to babysit our Grandchildren & the S-type is perfect for this commute. Ive already fitted a new aircon compresor & picking up a new coolant expansion tank tomorrow. But everything else is just perfect. I love this car!

Welcome to the forum Mike,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
Follow Norri's link in post #2 to the S-Type forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
I know you've already found the Region forum so no need for a link to it from me.
Enjoy the forums.
Graham

Thanks for all the wellcoming posts. I picked up a new expansion tank last week & a set of filters. Not used to working on such low vehicles had to make a set of ramps out of fence posts to get the jag high enough to climb under. The pan is huge but comes off easy. I was very surprised how clean everything was under there. This car has never been on a dirt road until last Sunday. Today we took a drive ip the Numinbah valley then across to Briunswick heads for lunch before refturning along the M1 in traffic. Lovely drive through the hills im starting to use the auto in manual mode ,judt love that exhaust note when it gets busy. I may even get an aftermarket set of rear pipes if they are available.
Love this car , i would not hesitate to say these S-types are probably the best bang for the $ on the second hand market today.
