Default New to the forum as well as to Jag ownership

Hello from Atlanta, GA! I grew up as more of a Mustang girl, but always appreciated Jaguar. Recently my husband and I decided it was time to replace my Pontiac Solstice that I've had for almost 10 years and he assumed I would go with another Mustang and there was some resistance at first when I said I wanted an F Type. Took a few months, but got him to agree and then we found the right one. I flew down to West Palm Beach on Saturday and took possession and got to have a lovely drive home with a stop on Saturday night to visit relatives I don't see often. Let's just say I am IN LOVE with my 2014 F Type S (convertible). CPO and now after my trip home, just over 8k miles. I'm still getting her personality to find her name, but should have that soon. I still have such a stupid grin on my face from the sheer joy of driving again. Since I'm new to both the car and the forums I doubt I'll be much of a contributor around here other than lurking and admiring other's work, but I did want to introduce myself before I commence with the lurking.

Welcome to the forums.
I like to keep utility vehicles, but I hate not having a driver's car around.
Enjoy the drive.

Thank you for the welcome. We now have 5 vehicles in our driveway, so need to thin the herd a bit. We will probably get rid of his SUV and my Solstice and replace with a truck that can pull a trailer with motorcycles since we are now also getting into vintage motorcycles. Then we'll have pretty much everything covered with a cargo van, a truck, a sedan and the F Type (plus vintage motorcycles).

Hello, Barb,
Congratulations on your new F-type!
Most of us in here are in love with our cars on some level.
As for a name, how about Francine?

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Thank you all for the warm welcome! This morning I discovered the joys of a heated steering wheel. Last night was my first night at the gym at my regular time and it took forever because everyone was asking about her and wanting to go out to see her. I've had pretty and somewhat unique before, but never something like the work of art I have now. I've always had a love affair with cars (being raised by a mechanic makes that inevitable I think) and I look forward to poking around and learning more and getting to know other enthusiasts.
