I purchased a 2005 X-Type with a manual transmission last year and I love it. Although I'm prone to wearing heels most of the time, I like to know about my car. I'm here to learn what others have already found out, what to look for, what makes sense and what doesn't - and I'm not opposed to getting my hands dirty once in a while.

Thanks for your note. Alpharetta is one of the Atlanta suburbs just north of the city. I lived in the city until I accidentally adopted my 2nd dog a few months ago. Had to have a yard after that.

I too have a manual trans X and its fun to drive, especially on the twistys!!!

BTW, I think the X-Type is the best looking Jag (after the XK's, of course).
