New Guy
Hello fellow Jaguar owners,
My name is Dave, and I live in Cincinnati, OH. I bought a low mile, 2005 Jaguar S-Type, about 3 years. It's been a great car, and I still enjoy driving it every day.
My reason for joining the forum was because of a recent peculiar problem with my car. A few weeks ago my engine light went on, and my Message Centre said: Restricted Performance. The car continued to run just fine, and a day or so later, the engine light and Message went off. A couple weeks later, the engine light and Restricted Performance returned. This time, if I accelerated hard, like going up a hill, the engine would "miss" a few times, but then would return to running normally. I took it to my local mechanic. He did a diagnostic, and said that so many codes came up, there's no way the car should be running. He advised taking it to the Jaguar dealer, and begin with getting the computer "re-flashed." I picked up my car, and after a few miles, the Message went off, a couple days later, the engine light went off, and the car runs great. Anybody else had this happen? Dave
