New Guy
Hi all;
I have owned a 70XKE Roadster since 70. Was my daily summer driver for most all of its life until I tapped the front end - ever so slightly - in 2008. Well I had already 'restored" it twice and it was - once again - showing some age. So I decided to "restore" it again. I had also rebuilt the 4.2 twice over the 30 plus years. Finally decided to make a drastic change in 2000. Installed a 'built" 302HO coupled with a Ford 5 sp. WOW....... the 302 is over 300 lbs lighter and has gobs more HP & torque. Flying low was even funner. Also installed all new white faced AutoMeter gauges. Got a pretty penny for the old Smiths as well as over 1 grand for the tired old 4.2 . Now, being honest here, my 2000 C5 is still a tad faster and handles better, but it's no Jag.
Other notes....My wife wouldn't part with her XJ8L, and my daughter will soon be able to drive an XJ6 VP I have finsihed for her. me.....I drive a Jeep Wrangler from October through April. Michigan winters force me to store the C5 & the XKE

welcome to the site lawxviii, good to have you here with us and thanks for a nice intro with good info!
Sounds like have quite a stable there!
Please check out the relevant section for your various rides and you will find good info there, especially in the FAQ quick link thread. I have a feeling though that you may have quite some knowledge to share here too
The off topic section can be fun and there's always the regional section so you can see who is around!
I've manually upgraded you to full forum access so you can better view all the sites features....
