Default New to this, and have a question

I have a 2009 XF Luxury, and I get a low coolant message from time to time for the past few months. During that time, I have replaced the reservoir, and the coolant thermostat. There are no clear markings in the reservoir, so who knows that the ideal level should be. What else could be the issue?

I also have a letter re: the Takata recall. One more thing to add to the list! Love my Pearl Grey Jag, but dang!

Hello,
Someone will be along shortly to direct you to the correct section where you can find help for your coolant problem.

It's true about Jags, we love them in spite of their warts.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Welcome to the forum NDN,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

The 2009MY XF Drivers Handbook suggests the levels are marked both inside and outside the Expansion Tank ......

(click on the image to enlarge it)

If the level is correct, the most obvious cause is likely to be the level sensor in the base of the tank.
