Default New here!

Hi,

My name is Jim, I've just purchased a Jaguar XK 2008 (5.0 N/A).

I'll plan to document the car and ask many questions here given the extremely knowledgeable people that frequent these forums.

I've got a few issues so I'll be asking straight off the bat, I guess I could use with some advice on how to use the search function efficiently?

Anywho nice to meet everyone!

Welcome to the forums Jim,

Good to have you with us.

If it's a 2008 XK, it must be a 4.2 litre. The 5.0 litre was introduced in 2009.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xk-xkr-x150-33/ to the X150-Type forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the UK & Eire Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/uk-eire-68/ to find other members in your region.

Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Hi, Graham
I think it's an 09 MY but has been originally registered on a late 58 plate.

Number plate is VX58 GOC.

Thanks
Jim

Jim,

Jaguar used to introduce the new Model Year in September after the annual works shutdown so 2009MY began production in late 2008.

Ahh ok. It was originally registered on the 9th of December 2008. I think it could've been a dealer "show car" given it is a portfolio with all the fancy features like ACC.

I'll get some pics up soon and will start an ownership thread, she certainly needs some TLC!
