its got a funny thing happening where it seems to want search for petrol and sort of cuts out then goes again it's intermittent so haven't been able to diagnose it yet any ideas anyone? Replaced fuel filter external, cleaned the MAFS AND MAPS, put it complete fuel system clean liqui molly.
still happens, about to purchase a OBD 11 device from souped.com.au

Welcome to the Forums.
Mines a tad younger, and my experience with the X is limited at the moment, as it simply does what it does without fuss.
Most EFI cars have a fuel pump life of APPROX 10 years or 160k kms. There are exceptions of course.
There are some superb Stickies on this in the X Type Tech Section.
Good luck.

Welcome to the forums Jag in Aust,
Good to have you with us.
Intermittent faults are the worst to troubleshoot but the code reader should give the probable causes. When asking about error codes, always post the actual codes and not descriptions. Online generic lookups can often be misleading with Jaguar decodes. Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x-type-x400-14/ to the X-Type forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.
I've added vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. If you want to amend these, go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
Clarke has already given you the link to Australia - Queensland Region forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
Enjoy the forums.
Graham
