New Here and looking forward to owning an XJR
Hello,
I currently own a 1998 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am WS6 convertible, which will be difficult to watch as somebody drives off with my first.love. However, my wife and I are expecting our first child and my Trans Am no longer makes sense to own. (Some say a convertible does not ever make sense to own in Omaha, Ne)
Therefore, I am now in need of a vehicle to comfortably fit a family. I do not think I will be able to trade my Trans Am for a mini van. Which is why I have my eyes on an 04/05 Jaguar XJR. That said, I have never even seen one in person, nor have I ever even been in a Jaguar.
Due to how rare XJRs are in Omaha, no dealers have any on their lots. I am hoping to find somebody within an hour from Omaha, who would be willing to allow me to take a look at their XJ. Make sure I know it is what I want before traveling hours away to buy a vehicle I've never seen...
Any way, looking forward to owning my first Jaguar.
- Nick R
PS. If any body knows of a good Jaguar mechanic in Omaha, I would appreciate a recommendation.

First, congratulations on your new family. I understand the difficulty of parting with your first love Firebird, more that I can describe.
There is no reason to resign yourself to the bitter pill of a mini van until you absolutely need to. You'll know when that is. A Jaguar can make a Fine family car for years to come!
In your search for an XJR look on private listings, Craig's list for example, even possibly outside your immediate area. Eventually something will turn up that strikes your fancy and needs.

Welcome to the forum Nick,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
I had to give up my E-Type for the same reasons many years ago. In those days a Series I XJ6 was the family compromise so an X350 makes sense for you.
Follow this link XJ ( X350 & X358 ) XJ6 / XJ8 / XJR - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the X350 forum for help, advice and information.
You can also visit the US Central Region forum by following this link Central US - MT WY CO ND SD NE KS - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the search for your XJR and enjoy the forums.
