Default New here, what's up everyone

I bought a 2007 Jaguar x type 3.0 and all of the brakes are not releasing. Took to dealership and they said I needed all new calipers! Before I took it to them I had it on the lift and we loosen one of the bleeder valve's and it would release like that but any other way. Is there a known issue with the brakes not releasing??? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Hello,
Congratulations on your new X-type Jaguar!
I'm sorry it has that brake problem, but someone will be along shortly to direct you to our X-type section where members can help you fix that.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Welcome to the forums bigdeez,

All four calipers sticking. Big coincidence but possible if the vehicle has been standing for a long time. I'd suspect master cylinder as the primary culprit

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x-type-x400-14/ to the X-Type forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. Welcome to the Forums.

Agree with Graham,
AND
Some person has changed the brake pads without releasing the bleed nipple, and pushed all the crud back into the ABS system, huge OOPS.

Good luck.
