New and hoping...
I've had my '06 S Type (30,000 miles) for two weeks. The engine light appeared and I immediately took it to the Jag dealer. They replaced the fuel pressure regulator along with the defrost system...that I found was not working on the way to the dealer. Two days later, the engine light has reappeared.
So, I'm new to the Jag world and hoping this isn't the future! Thankfully, the car is under warranty for several more months.
That said, I see why these cars are addictive. The interior...the feel of the car is unique. I want this thing to be in my garage for a long time.

Hi KleC, i'm sure the light is something pretty simple...surely, the car is only 3 years old. your warranty will be handy and a level of assurance for another couple years hopefully.
If you get your code(s) read from the car, we might be able to help you diagnose it...though your dealer techs should have fixed that light, unless there's another root cause.
Anyhow, hope you get her fixed up!
