The cure is worse than the disease. The key is managing your symptoms, having the money deducted out of your paycheck and deposited in your retirement account before you see it. I got really into Toyota Supras, eventually buying wrecked ones to part out for spares or to rebuild. I had as many as seven at one time with four completed and three junkers outside in the yard. In 2007 I decided that it was silly to just have a bunch of one kind of car, so I sold all but one and added a couple of vintage Corvettes, Mustangs and eventually an XJ8 sedan to use as a daily driver. Darned if I didn't get hooked on Jaguars. A friend of mine is really into motorcycles. He keeps trying to get me to go ride with him but I resist. Motorcycles are smaller and so you can have even more. I figure that's the last thing I need is another hobby. Cars, motorcycles, boats, etc. are like potato chips. You can't eat just one and not get even hungrier. No. I'm sorry but the only cure is bankruptcy (though I'm sure a surgeon COULD help you with that).
