Default New to Jag, new to site

I am new to this site and new to Jaguar. I just bought my 2002 Sport X-Type 3.0 three days ago. I have loved the look of Jags
since I was a kid, but have never really thought seriously about owning one. Ive been a soccer mom for a long time and have
had SUVsmostly forconvenience. I was recently shopping for a Mercedes ML430(SUV), when I saw an S-Type at an independent
dealership. Thats when I got hooked on the idea of getting a Jag. The kids are grown now, soI dont really need a truck anymore.
[sm=sigh.gif]Boy that makes me sound old. Anyway, its been a month and several S-Types and X-Types later, but now I have my
new(to me) Jag. The kids love it. They were impressed with the AWD handling when they drove it. This wasnt the one I originally
had my eye on, but the black on black is growing on me. I know about the less than stellar service record associated with the
Jaguar line, but Im just going to be diligent with the maintenance and keep my fingers crossed. Im going to be coming here for
advice, I think Im going to need it.

[sm=welcomesign.gif]queenmb.................

speaking as another 'parent of grown kids'; you're only as old as you feel and the Jag will take years off

Congrats and drive it in good health!!!!

Welcome, enjoy your ride. Sounds like your going to have to pry the car away from your kids.

Crap, I hating retyping posts. Forgot to copy before hitting [ok] so I try this again.

Ditto on all the salutations above, and if you can operate a digital camera too, we'd love to see the black on black X. I love the wheels they put on those sports too. Salsa red is a great color for the sport, but the black just says class to me.

How old to you feel today after driving it for a few days? Making excuses to go to the store I bet. "Wait...we're out of xtra crunchy peanut butter, I'll be back!"
