new jag owner
Hi my name is Brian and I am the proud owner of a 1982 XJS cabriolet v12 at least I am trying to be as I am a Cdn resident in Ontario and I have purchased a Texas registered car .
I am anxious to find out about how this dual VIN no works as I don,t want to take any chances with customs.
I read somewhere that some cabriolets started life as coupes hence the dual vin no .
I would need some kind of proof as I don,t think the customs officer would take my word for it.
I would appreciate any help in this matter.Brian

Welcome to the forum Brian,
Congratulations on the XJS. Follow this link XJS - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the XJS section for help and advice.
I see Doug has already responded to this same question you posted in Jaguar Forums Advice / Suggestion Centre section earlier today. I've moved this thread to the XJS section where you may get further advice from other members with the same vehicle.
Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User ID button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
Please also visit the Canada Region section Canada, Mexico, South America - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to find other members in this country. This may help with others who have gone through the import procedure already.
Enjoy the forum.
Graham
