Default New Jag owner in Texas

Hello everyone! My name's Adam, and I bought a 2006 XJ8 L last month, and I absolutely love it. I had never really thought of owning a Jaguar, but my wife always wanted one, so I started looking for one to replace my Nissan Xterra. Fell in love with this one and now want an XJS to rebuild. Of course, my wife won't drive the Jaguar, because that means that she would have to give up the CTS-V that was supposed to be mine. Oh well. She does like being driven around in it.

Only problem I have right now is that I think the air suspension compressor is dead or dying. Lately with the coldish weather, I frequently get the "Vehicle too low" and "Air suspension fault" messages, though they usually go away after a couple restarts. Where can I get a new/rebuilt compressor for cheap? I can do the work myself, I'm sure, just need the part.

Anyhow, this looks like a great place with a lot of information.

Welcome to the forum adam,

An XJ8 last month and now you want an XJS - you've got it bad!

Follow this link XJ ( X350 & X358 ) XJ6 / XJ8 / XJR - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the X350 section and this link XJS - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the XJS section for help, advice and information. You should post a tech question about the Air Suspension in the X350 section for help with parts sources.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User ID button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the US Southwest Region section by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/southwest-us-az-tx-nm-ok-37/ to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forum.
